Album Details:

Miles Zurawell’s debut album, Far Afield, is an exploration of diverse fiddle music played on the dobro (resonator guitar) and banjo. Featuring an award-winning group of acoustic instrumentalists from Canada and the US. Miles’ original compositions and arrangements of traditional tunes skirt the line between bluegrass and melodic old-time: a distinctive approach to acoustic stringband music emerging from the Pacific Northwest. The material draws from Appalachian, Quebecois, and Métis fiddling traditions as well as classic dobro standards and 1920s Hawaiian slide guitar.
